Kathleen McIntyre is an Ojibway Artist from Chippewas of the Thames First Nation (Ontario) currently living in Edmonton, Alberta.
For 29 years Kathleen has been beading, sewing and making traditional art, crafts and ceremonial items. She has shared her knowledge with many people across the country. Her work has been in runway shows at Toronto’s L’Oréal Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week and Aboriginal Fashion Shows and has been published in Chatelaine Magazine. Her work can be found all over the world.
Kathleen is mostly known for her beading and sewing. She takes her inspiration from her rich cultural heritage combining traditional work with the new. Each piece she creates has a special meaning and spirit.
