Alberta Ballet Nutcracker Boutique

Submission Deadline: September 30
In partnership with the Alberta Craft Council

Acclaimed as one of Canada’s finest renderings and celebrated as a delightfully traditional depiction, Edmund Stripe’s The Nutcracker celebrates its 11th anniversary this season.

Alberta Ballet has partnered once again with the Alberta Craft Council to help curate a selection of ACC Members that would compliment the famous holiday production and sell in their new style of boutique during their 2019 Nutcracker performances.

Expected numbers: 35,000 of attendees for 16 performances.  Alberta Ballet will also be opening the Boutique up to the general public during this time which will increase the number of patrons able to shop.

If interested in this project please submit the following by September 30, 2019 to jill@albertacraft.ab.ca:

• 5 good quality images of work that would be representative of the work to be sold
• Image list that includes, media, technique, and size (cm)
• A description of the work and/or inspiration for the design
• A short artist bio

We will present the submissions to the Alberta Ballet who will make the final selection. After that the Alberta Ballet will work directly with the artists arranging contracts, delivery, and the sale of the work.

Alberta Ballet will provide staff to sell and manage the displays. They will also coordinate all contracts, shipments and payments with the artists. Alberta Ballet will honour the percentage share (60/40) consignment that the ACC currently has with our members.
