8th Annual Alberta Craft Awards Presented

The 2012 Alberta Craft Awards were presented 2012 Alberta Craft Awardsat a party on November 3 at DaDe Art & Design Lab in Calgary. Thanks to Greg and Darcy for being such gracious hosts. DaDe Art & Design Lab was once again a fantastic locale for the awards celebration.  Check out dadeartanddesignlab.com. They are located at 1327 – 9 Avenue SE, Calgary.

Designed to honour individuals and groups who make significant contributions to Alberta’s fine craft culture, the Alberta Craft Awards not only stimulate awareness and instill distinction for fine craft in Kai Georg Scholefield (representing Bee Kingdom), Jim Etzkorn, Sarabeth CarnatAlberta they also invigorate and give prominence to deserving artists and their work.  Thanks go out to all the nominees, nominators and supporters who joined us for the celebration and the nominees who provided their work for the ACC Awards Exhibition.

The Alberta Craft Council would also like to thank the following volunteers; Mindy Andrews, Suzette Knudsen and Susan Thorpe; staff and board members who helped make the evening such a special event.
