Sarabeth Carnat

Sarabeth Carnat (Calgary, AB) is a goldsmith, artist and designer who works in metal. She studied at the New School of Art, Sheridan College, in Israel at the Bezalel Academy of Art and at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She retired from over thirty years of teaching in the Jewelley + Metals Program at the Alberta College of Art + Design in 2014. Sarabeth was recognized for her contributions to Alberta’s fine craft culture with the Alberta Craft Award of Honour in 2012.

Sarabeth’s work addresses beauty, comfort, ritual, and relationships. She has a private practice in one-of-a-kind, production and conceptual jewellery, metal painting, Judaica, and anodized aluminum objects.
