Awards & Recognition

Do you have a special event, ceremony or project that requires awards or gifts?  Much of the work found at the ACC can be modified to include logos, bases and plaques.  Please contact our our staff to help find the perfect artist to create something just for you.

Special Orders

Special orders and custom purchases are dependent on the schedule of the artist.  A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before production and allow for a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks before completion.  Design fees may apply and are determined by the artist.  If samples are required for approval by the customer before production, each sample will be included as an additional cost to the customer.

The Alberta Craft Council and the craft artist(s) will do their best to match agreed specificaitons of the ordered items (such as colour, finish, shape and dimensions). When entering into a special or custom order it is understood that these items are hand crafted and with that there may be reasonable variances on the finished product.

Linda Stanier - Ornaments

On May 24, 2004, Linda Stanier passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Linda studied art history at Red Deer College before transferring to the Art and Design program where she realized her love for ceramics. Linda became a member of the Alberta Craft Council in 1988 and served as a director on the board from 1990-94. Linda was an artist/potter of exceptional talent. She was a prominent teacher, juror, curator and technician in Alberta’s active ceramic scene. Linda touched the lives of everyone she met with her joyful and giving spirit and her wonderful sense of humor.

Proceeds from the sale of each ornament go towards the Alberta Craft Linda Stanier & Family Memorial Award, an annual award created to honour an Alberta professional craftsperson working in clay.
