Corinne Cowell is a Calgary based mixed media artist. She graduated with distinction from the Alberta College of Art + Design with a diploma in print-making in 1992.

Soon after graduation, Corinne founded an award winning graphic design company. She has since worked both as a graphic designer and visual artist.

In fibre, she has discovered her ideal medium and has spent the last few years developing and refining her technique. By working with fibre, Corinne combines her talents as a graphic designer and print-maker to create uniquely presented felted images.

Her current work deals with narratives and memories as well as the environment and our place within it. She uses a wide variety of media to support her imagery and themes, and has incorporated everything from needle and wet felted wool, paint, photo transfer, silk, paper, etching, silkscreen, and horse hair to express her visual stories.
