Kitsch: Craft So Bad That It's Good Virtual Reception

Join the Alberta Craft Council and the artists of Kitsch: Craft So Bad That It's Good for a virtual gathering to view and celebrate this wacky and wonderful exhibition.

Kitsch: Craft So Bad That It’s Good is a group exhibition of works from Alberta Craft Council members currently on view in the Alberta Craft Feature Gallery in Edmonton until October 30, 2021.

Creators responded from across the province to kitsch it up with humorous works that and will make you laugh and cringe all at once - crossing lines and breaking rules. Stuck indoors during the COVID-19 winter, artists turned to their resourceful natures to design and create objects responding to our strange COVID-19 times and using materials that were readily at hand in their COVID-19 hideouts! Many of the participating artists created new one-of-a-kind objects unlike anything you have seen in the Alberta Craft Council before. Learn more about the exhibition here.

Join us on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 7pm MDT to tour and celebrate the exhibition virtually. Kitsch participating artists will be in attendance to discuss their work.

Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. All donations will be matched by EPCOR’s Heart+Sould Fund.

Registration will close at 5.30pm MDT on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Attendees will receive an email containing the Zoom link upon registration.
