An exhibition about the stages of making, providing insight into the complex and multi-layered methods of how artists work and create while nurturing the organic nature of creativity.

Artist Talk + Reception: Saturday, June 23 from 2 - 4pm
Artists come from all over the world to work in Medalta’s studios, bringing their unique experiences, techniques and ideas to the Historic Clay District. This exhibition celebrates the artists who have decided to make Medicine Hat their home after completing their residency and the cultural impact this influx of artists with international careers has brought to the community of Medicine Hat.

Pulp Paper Pages: April 14 - July 7, 2012
Paper and book arts are a vibrant aspect of contemporary craft. This major survey exhibition was a joint project of the Alberta Craft Council and the Calgary and Alberta North chapters of the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Arts Guild. This juried exhibition features a wide variety of forms, objects, approaches, techniques and concepts found in both the paper and book arts.

Prairie Excellence: 2010 - 2013
Prairie Excellence is a unique and ground-breaking joint project of the Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta Craft Councils.It entailed the participation of more than 160 craft artists across three provinces. Prairie Excellence is a big and significant project for the three craft councils as well as for the participating artists. It is a critically, financially and popularly successful project which explores the breadth, originality, sophistication and growing culture of contemporary craft arts.

A total of 33 pieces of fine craft by 30 Alberta craft artists (206 pieces of fine craft by 212 Canadian artists) were selected for the prestigious Unity and Diversity exhibition at the 2009 Cheongju International Craft Biennale (CICB) in South Korea.
All About Alberta II: 2006 - 2008
A collection of contemporary fine craft reflecting Alberta's distinct sense of place. This exhibition gathers iconic and iconoclastic expressions of Alberta ... by thirty senior professional members of the Alberta Craft Council. All About Alberta has been seen in Washington, DC for three months and then tour to South Korea, Montreal, Toronto, St. John's, Calgary, and Edmonton.

The Opera Coat Project: 2006
The Opera Coat Project brings together a diverse group of professional designers, visual artists, craftspersons and artisans from across Alberta. This unique group has created a one of a kind collection showcasing the world of opera through a series of wearable art coats in a collaborative partnership with Edmonton Opera and The Alberta Craft Council.
