Judith Green

Judith Green (Pincher Creek, AB) has been a classic country potter for over thirty years and creates work that features local flora and historic cattle brands. Judith grew up and studied in Medicine Hat, Alberta, the historic city which was once the heart of Canada’s ceramic industry. In 1976 she attained her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Ceramic Art from Notre Dame University in Nelson BC.

Her studio is located in a small southern Alberta town, Pincher Creek, the home of Canada’s largest cowboy poetry festival. Judith has a strong belief in the importance of the relationship between the craftsman and the community.

Judith was the 2008 recipient of the Alberta Craft Council’s Linda Stanier & Family Memorial Award for Excellence in Ceramics.
