Martha Henry

Martha Henry (Calgary, AB) is one of the founders of Alberta’s exciting hot glass scene. She received her formal training in blown glass at Sheridan College in Ontario before moving to Calgary and establishing her reputation as one of Canada’s leading glass artists. Having pioneered a number of techniques and surface treatments in her 30 year career as a glass blower, Martha started working smaller scale, making handmade glass beads. Her beads incorporate the same attention to detail and surface treatments that established her glass career.

Her distinctive works have been commissioned and collected for Culinary Team Canada, Princess Diana, the Rolling Stones and are in numerous collections around the world.
