2013 Glass Art Assoc of Canada Conference, Calgary

Mark your Calendars! Glass Art Assoc of Canada Conference, Calgary
May 23-26, 2013

Beyond Boundaries: 30 Smashing Years! Celebrate 30 years of the Glass Art Association of Canada next year in Calgary at the Alberta College of Art + Design where we are pleased to host the most exciting conference in GAAC history. The theme this year... Innovation! We can’t wait to share this experience with you. Stay tuned for registration information and event details.

The Glass Art Association of Canada is pleased to present a glass fashion show in Calgary, Alberta, to wrap up the conference themed Beyond Boundaries: 30 Smashing Years.

The glass fashion show is the focal point of the closing night and is set to attract over 300 guests within art communities throughout Canada, the United States and international destinations. Renowned glass artist, Laura Donefer, was the host of the first glass fashion show in 1989. This event is built on the foundation and inspirations of her couture events that are featured within the Glass Art Society and the Glass Art Association of Canada conferences. In previous years, the glass fashion shows have been held in the Corning Museum of Glass (2009), Montreal Science Centre (2010), and the upcoming Toledo Museum of Art (2012) to name just a few.
