Hannelore Krieger

Available at the Alberta Craft Gallery - Edmonton

Born in Germany, Hannelore (Wildwood, AB) immigrated to Canada in 1961 before settling in Wildwood, Alberta. As a retired senior, she spends the long Alberta winters making baskets from the ponderosa pine-needles she gathers during her excursions to B.C. An avid basket maker since the early 80’s, Hannelor continues to challenge herself with this discipline through exploration of an array of stitching techniques, basket designs and colour methods.
