Malcolm Macfadyen (Vancouver, BC) came to Canada from England in 1973 and has been working in architectural and blown glass since the 1980. He has studied under Andy Andrews in England, Italian Maestros Loredano Rosin and Pino Signoretto at Pilchuck Glass School, and American Maestros Karen Willenbrink, Randy Walker and Ross Richmond at Red Deer College. His blown glasswork is well represented by Canadian galleries and his architectural glasswork is installed and enjoyed by many British Columbia homeowners.
Malcolm enjoys introducing newcomers to hot glass, instructing hundreds of beginners and demonstrating to the public with his traveling show, "Totally Amazing Glass!!". With a portable glass furnace and glory hole Malcolm brings all of the elements of studio glassworking to events such as Circle Craft’s Christmas Market at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre and to numerous other events around British Columbia.
