Financial Support






The Alberta Craft Council receives an annual Provincial Arts Service Organization grant from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.





The Alberta Craft Council also receives annual operating and facility grants (Community Investment Program Arts Building Operating Grant and Community Investment Program Arts Operating Grant) from the Edmonton Arts Council.

The Alberta Craft Council also receives an operating grant from the Edmonton Community Foundation. 


A small annual operating grant is also recieved from Calgary Arts Development Authority.


The Alberta Craft Council also appreciates grants from other sources for special projects.






The Alberta Craft Council hosted the annual conference of the 2016 Canadian Crafts Federation in Calgary.  The Calgary Foundation for Community and Rozsa Foundation both supported this project. 

The Alberta Craft Council participated in Business for the Arts' ArtsVest program in 2017 and 2018.


As a host site of Alberta Culture Days 2018, the Alberta Craft Council received funding through Alberta Culture Days.

Endowment Support

The annual Linda Stanier and Family Memorial Award is the Alberta Craft Council’s first endowed award. Other such awards will be established as opportunities arise.


Donor Support

The Alberta Craft Council appreciates all personal donations. The Council is a registered charity and can issue a charitable tax receipt for each donation. Such donations can also be matched from the Spirit of Alberta Fund.

The Alberta Craft Council also gathers donations of vintage and historic craft, for selective re-sale.
