Dee Fontans, Calgary

Dee Fontans is a jeweller, enamelist, fashion designer and performance artist. She studied at Parsons School of Design and State University of New York, and now teaches at the Alberta College of Art and Design. Her work has been exhibited and published in the United States, Germany, the Caribbean and across Canada. In 2003 Dee was voted one of "ten most important artists in Calgary, of the last 20 years". She was recently featured in a series of television Art Spots for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
