Dana Roman, Canmore

Dana Roman's first career was as an architect in Czechoslovakia. Immigrating to Toronto, she designed artwear fashion for customers ranging from Nordstrom stores to a Canadian Prime Minister's wife. Ten years ago she settled in the resort town of Canmore where the bold mountain environment provides her with unlimited hiking and skiing opportunities, along with endless inspiration for her landscapes in fibre and mixed media. Dana has received numerous design and art awards over her thirty-year practice.
