I Have Seen the Wind Two was started after a relaxation, visualization exercise done during a quilting workshop with Caryl Bryer Fallert several years ago. It was a typical relaxation exercise focusing on relaxing the body and the mind, and this landscape image is what I created immediately after the exercise was complete. Whenever I try to relax and get into the creative "zone", I always seem to travel in my mind to some of the times and places in my life where I have been totally alone and feeling in awe of the landscape around me. It is an expression of the feelings I have while being in a landscape which is of most interest to me when I work on a piece of art, rather than the depiction of specific details of a particular landscape. Having grown up in the Medicine Hat area, the southern Alberta landscape has had significant influence on the images I create.
