Prehistoric basketry techniques combined with new industrial materials, allow Jean Connor to make innovative and distinctive art baskets. Her decorative elements, which are an integral part of the basket's structure, are inspired by her study of primitive baskets from various cultures as well as by the art made by children she regularly teaches.
