Splendor Framed silk fabric, stitched with beads and sequins In Anne's series of Women's Voices, from which this piece is taken, she presents her view of what she regards a universal cultural phenomenon. Born in 1946, she was raised within the general cult of domesticity… but she never really adhered to it. Individual voices have always sought expression within the grid-work of social cultural mores. Today, Anne is no longer with us, she passed away in 2000, however her voice speaks on through her work as she describes the subtle background that signals our cultural roles as women.
