Roseann Janzen may be Alberta's only full-time female blacksmith. In forge-heated and hammer-wrought steel, she explores fluidity in both her material and her technique. Coincidentally, the process of heating, hammering and thinning steel is called drawing. The surprising result is an image reminiscent of vintage fashion sketches.
