My inspiration comes from the forms and materials that surround me. I see shapes and shadows in nature repeating themselves in piles of industrial cast-offs in scrap metal yards. As a metalsmith I am drawn to industrial debris as someone else might be drawn to pirate's treasure. I find great inspiration in taking these work-worn metal parts and transforming them into vessels that could become a valued part of our livingspace.
