"Over the years that I have been involved with clay my work has evolved in a number of directions: from functional multiples to one of a kind 'art pots', from carved and etched porcelain to sculpture. Clay is such a facile, enticing medium and its possibilities are so numerous that I cannot resist the constant urge to try new techniques, investigate different forms, textures, and glazes. The results can be sculptural vessels or utilitarian pots. These experiments into unexplored territory are the true test of my "Mystery of Mastery". Ceramics is the perfect vehicle for my creative expression. In a technological world that is daily moving us away form reality, my aim is to present a vivid, sensual experience for the hand and the eye, to take us from the electronic ether back down to earth."
