Cindy Burgess, Edmonton

Cindy has enjoyed a diverse and varied career in the arts, ranging from clothing and theatre design to writing. She studied fashion design at Montreal's LaSalle College before returning to Edmonton where she worked for local design companies while producing her own line of clothing and hats. Cindy later branched out into theatre, working as a costume and props designer and technician. She has taught design at the St. Albert Children's Theatre and monitored for Grant MacEwan College's Theatre Production Program. Cindy is collaborating with Deanna Finnman on a coat inspired by The Mikado and with Colleen Holloran on a coat inspired by the Emperor of Atlantis. Cindy would like to note the technical support from she recieved from Mariellen Meszaros for the Mikado coat.
