Deanna Finnman, Edmonton

Deanna has been designing costumes for over 15 years, melding her formal training in both fibre art and fashion design. Her award winning work has spanned from street performers, theatre, and dance, historical sites and most recently in Edmonton Opera's productions of Lakme and Emperor of Atlantis. She has served as a clothing consultant/designer for several performers including VOCE and the Rythmatics dance troupe. In addition Deanna has designed several sets, dabbled in interior design, created fine art wall hangings and produced designer apparel for private clientele, and taught costuming in Grant MacEwan College's Theatre Production Program. More recently she has taken an interest in producing and co-produced the award winning The Winters Tale with Bridget Ryan and Chris Wynters. Deanna will be creating two coats inspired by Lakme and The Mikado. Deanna would like to note the technical support from she recieved from Mari Ellen Mezaros for the Mikado coat.
