Jeanne Germani, St. Albert

For the past ten years, Jeanne has focused on collage and the paper arts, and is a member of the St. Albert Paper Arts Guild. As a papermaker and bookbinder she creates handmade and artist books. Most recently, she has been working with Polaroid transfers, using set-ups of three-dimensional collages to photograph and use as images in her work. She has been published numerous times, most recently in the September/October issue of Somerset Studio and has exhibited and sold work in St. Albert and British Columbia. In 2003, she collaborated with ten local artists in an exchange and exhibition of art dolls, and has been involved in other exchanges and collaborative projects through the Internet. She is a past nominee for the "Emerging Artist" award in St. Albert and has served on the Boards of the Arts & Heritage Foundation of St. Albert and Profiles Visual Arts Society. Currently, she is in her eleventh year on the St. Albert Place Visual Arts Council. Jeanne will be collaborating with Barb Pankratz to create a coat based on the Canadian Opera Filumena. Jeanne and Barb would like to note the technical support they recieved from Kathy Pavelich for the Filumena coat.
