Arlene Westen-Evans, High River

Arlene has been a practicing artist and instructor for over twenty years. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with Distinction from the Alberta College of Art & Design in Calgary. She has taught numerous workshops in the areas of Surface Design on Fabric and Paper, Papermaking and Book Arts throughout Alberta, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories. She is a regular visiting artist/instructor at the Kootenay School of Art and Craft in Nelson, B.C. and is a faculty member with Continuing Education at the Alberta College of Art & Design in Calgary. Arlene's exhibited works, artists books, photographic prints and textile works have been shown in well-known galleries throughout Alberta and are in private collections worldwide. Arlene's coat is inspired by the opera The Maid of Orleans. Stephen Evans will contribute as technical support.
