Tanya Doody

Tanya Doody is a ceramicist with an evolving practice that likes to engage ceramics in new and everchanging ways. Working in ceramics for over twenty years, she designs and makes functional ceramics for daily use under her sole proprietorship Tanya Doody Ceramics. Tanya's work can be found in private and public collections across the world.

Tanya has taught numerous workshops, community courses. She has taught ceramics at the University of Victoria, Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, and currently teaches ceramics in the Department of Art at the University of Lethbridge.

Tanya holds an MFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (NSCAD) in Fine and Media Arts (2012), where she combined Ceramics and Performance Art. She was awarded her BFA (honours) from the University of Victoria in Visual Arts (2006), a Diploma from Sheridan College in Crafts and Design, Ceramics (1998), and a Certificate of Fine Crafts (Ceramics) from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (1996).
