The Alberta Craft Council presents the 2021 Craft Awards!

Monday, December 6 at 7pm please join us in celebration as we announce the recipients of the 2021 Alberta Craft Awards.

The bi-annual Alberta Craft Awards are designed to honor individuals and groups who make significant contributions to Alberta’s Fine Craft culture.

This year the Alberta Craft Council is pleased to announce a new Fibre Award generously established with an Endowment Fund from the Hand Weavers, Spinners and Dyers of Alberta (HWSDA).

This year’s nominees are:

Early Achievement Award: Pamma FitzGerald, Sophia Lengle, Chelsea McLaughlin, Kelsey Merkeley, and Ananda Skywalker.

Excellence Award: Sharon Rose (Kootenay) Cherweniuk, Kenton R. Jeske, and Erik Lee.

Linda Stanier and Family Memorial Award for Excellence in Ceramics: Amy Bouchard, KJ MacAlister, and Kaleb Romano.

Tom McFall Honour Award: Natali Rodrigues, Lynda Snider, Vikki Wiercinski, and Kari Woo.

Fibre Arts Award - Hand Weavers, Spinners and Dyers of Alberta Endowment: Contextural Fibre Arts Society, J Fern Facette, and Chantel Traub.

While you’re here; the Alberta Craft Council is pleased to have partnered with EPCOR Heart + Soul Fund, all donations will be doubled until December 31! Help us reach our goal of $16,000 in support of Alberta Fine Craft artists.
