Learn to Needle Felt Chickadees

  • Alberta Craft Gallery cSPACE King Edward 1721- 29 Avenue Southwest Calgary, AB, T2T 6T7 Canada (map)

Get inspiration for your workshop with a quick tour of the Alberta Craft Gallery - Calgary exhibition Albirda: Put a Bird On It. Then head upstairs for a beginner needle felting workshop and make your own pieces of art.

Did you know three species of Chickadees can be found in Calgary and that a group of Chickadees is called a Banditry? For this class you don't need to know any of that. But you will be learning to make all three species - Black Capped, Mountain and Boreal Chickadee.

Join Jill Nuckles for a fun afternoon of creating and connecting over your mutual love of birds and interest in learning something new.

Step by step instruction will make it easy for you to learn how to put a bird together and once you learn the basics you can make anything.

All materials are included and you will go home with a felting needle, foam block, and extra wool so you can keep making at your own pace.

No experience necessary.
