About your instructor:
Juniper Olive is a non-binary multidisciplinary artists based in Mohkinstsis (Calgary). Their work ranges from drag to fibre art and beyond, exploring ideas around gender norms, systems of power and connections to nature often through wearable pieces and performance. Juniper graduated from Alberta University of the Arts in 2025 with a bachelor's degree in Media Arts, has exhibited work across Alberta, has performed drag across Canada and worked professionally running art workshops that helped build employment skills. They love running workshops that focus on exploration, creating functional objects and building relationships to craft techniques that can extend beyond the workshop space.
