About your instructor:

Carley Pettitt is a self-taught textile artist specializing in hand embroidery. Born in Edmonton and raised on the coast of Vancouver Island, Carley Pettitt has always felt close to art and the wildlife around her. Deciding to focus on her passion for wildlife, Carley received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alberta with a Specialization in Animal Biology in 2012 and pursued a career in zoology. Throughout that journey, she discovered a love for education and wildlife conservation and in 2019, she picked up an embroidery needle and has never looked back.
