Participants will fold, stitch, and decorate a softcover notebook inspired by A Visible Mass, a new public artwork by Sanaz Mazinani installed in O-day'min Park. Drawing from the artwork's colourful cloud forms, participants will use cloud-shaped paper cutouts in a variety of colours to create their own unique journal.With just a few basic materials and tools, you can create one of these handy single-signature notebooks. These attractive little books fit in a purse, bag, or pocket and are ideal for mini-journals, notes, or sketching.All materials provided.

About your instructor: Dawn Woolsey is an Edmonton-based visual artist and educator whose practice spans book arts, printmaking, papermaking, and graphic design. She worked professionally in commercial graphic design, television animation, music packaging, and web design for over 40 years, later focusing on hands-on artmaking and teaching in community arts spaces.
