Tote-ally Creative Make & Take with Alberta Craft

  • Downtown Farmers Market 10113 104 Street Northwest Edmonton, AB, T5J 1A1 Canada (map)

Join us at the market for a relaxed, drop-in tote bag customizing workshop.

Bring your own bag or purchase a tote on site to use as your canvas. We will also have EDBA Shop Downtown totes available for $15 as part of a special one day initiative. All proceeds from these tote sales will directly support arts programming at the Downtown Farmers’ Market. Once you’re ready to start, you’ll have access to a variety of craft materials to decorate, embellish, and personalize your bag.

ACC staff will be on site throughout the workshop to share basic embroidery stitches and techniques, and to help you bring your idea to life.

This is an informal drop-in workshop designed so you can pop in and out while browsing the market. No experience needed, just your imagination!

Participants are also welcome to bring additional items such as ribbons, buttons, beads, embroidery thread, fabric scraps, or anything else you’d like to incorporate into your design.

About your instructor:

The Alberta Craft Gallery + Shop is a Provincial Arts Service Organization that develops, promotes, and advocates for fine craft in Alberta. Established in 1980, Alberta Craft operates two gallery and shop locations in Edmonton and Calgary, both offering free public access to exhibitions and our retail gallery shop.

An ACC staff member will be on site to help out, share a few introductory stitches, and be there to give you a hand if you need it.
