Blenderz Garment Recyclers is a zero waste zero export textile recycling facility in Edmonton. We have a pay- by the pound thrift store, upcycling kits and classes. Our vision is to keep clothing and fabric resources local by recycling, reclaiming and upcycling back into the circular economy. We want to be the community resource for families and businesses to access environmentally sustainable sources of clothing, fabrics and upcycled goods.

Fern’s School of Textile Craft is a space where textile enthusiasts from across Canada meet to share skills and knowledge. Over a dozen instructors offer a wide range of textile workshops including weaving, rug hooking, punch needle, power tufting, embroidery, marbling, felting, crochet, basket weaving, broom weaving, natural dye, cyanotype, and leatherwork. Join Fern for a rooftop studio tour jam packed with demos, delightful handmade objects, and a chance to try a couple techniques yourself!

Gather Textiles is a weaving supplies shop and textile studio. We are a team of career weavers, sewists, dyers and menders that care about quality materials, building community, and the rich and diverse history of textile practices. We offer supplies, workshops, tutoring, and space/tool rental for your next project. Come try one of our 30 studio looms and look through our piles of handwoven studio samples. Each visitor will receive 10% off their first yarn purchase or workshop registration. We have recently expanded our space and are excited to share our new "studio loft" space of rentable looms and natural dye studio. We will also be sharing about our Parkland Blanket Wool project: our locally grown, and naturally dyed yarn line. Join us!

The House of Sew is a small group and private lesson sewing studio in Edmonton, Alberta. Students learn everything from the basics of sewing to master pattern cutting in our classes. We have over 20 years of experience with sewing, plus international training from some of the best in the fashion industry. We believe in accessible, affordable education for people to develop new skills for work or fun. Our aim is not only to provide an inspirational and supportive environment to learn a new skill but to also help contribute to a more sustainable world.
