Join us for a riveting talk by Dr. Jennifer Salahub on the success of the Sheep Creek Weavers Fibre Arts Guild in preserving traditional craft techniques and knowledge by developing community.

This event is in conjunction with Shared Threads fibre exhibition. In commemoration of 50 years of preserving traditional fibre crafts through community, education and creating, the Sheep Creek Weavers present Shared Threads; a collaborative contemporary fibre arts exhibition highlighting the vibrant collective tallent within the subsects of craft techniques.

Since its founding in 1976, the guild has been a welcoming haven for weaving enthusiasts and has blossomed into a vibrant community of fibre artists who explore a wide array of disciplines. Whether you’re into spinning, knitting, felting, quilting, crocheting, dyeing, rug hooking, or hand-sewing, there’s a place for your unique creativity here!
